Born From Bubbles
On prehistoric shores, where frothing waters collided and spewed their bubbling brew, perhaps a bubble or two stayed in tact longer than the rest. These bubbles led to living cells, which led to bunches of cellular packs, which led to organs connecting in organic sacks. These sacks eventually stood up on bony stilts to stair at the stars, which floated in a greater plasma ocean, which floated in a greater quantum sea.
Liquid Legacy
Every form and every form of life arose from these fluid patterns in fluid motion. Existence itself has always been a boundless fluid being. In fluids, we see all reality--macro, micro, and everything in between. We see our ancient birthing places and our future burial plots. Anything that is, has been, or ever will be is fluid.
Hydrogen (H) and oxygen (O) are first and third most abundant elements in the known universe. These elements merge to form the substance H2O, or water, which makes up over 70% of Earth's dynamic skin. The vapour of this liquid is an important percentage of Earth's remarkable air, which humans breath into their mortal bodies, composed of another 60% water.
Bags Of Water On Stilts
Humans, thus, are fluid things - bags of ocean water on bones covered with skin. How can we not marvel at the stuff that contains us, makes us, destroys us, and resurrects us? How can we not appreciate the minute fluid forms that mirror the magnificent fluid cycles-within-cycles that comprise all being?
We are conceived in a puddle inside a mother's womb. We float for months in an amniotic room. The act of sex and the event of birth that brings us into existence both are wet. Chemists tell us that forms of heat are fluids too. In common language, desires are burning, and hopes go up in flames. Here we find the fluid fire--flowing in similar fluid forms, but going by a different fluid name.
Life now is a seafaring journey, where water, air, fire, plasma, and recently quantum energy are related things. In one way or another, existence is an eternal stream--an infinite ocean of recurring dreams.
